Employee Assistance Programmes

Employers looking for new ways to support and help their employees should consider providing access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

EAPs can contain any or all of the following;

  • confidential telephone counselling helpline
  • 24hr access
  • face-to-face counselling
  • legal advice
  • financial or debt management
  • domestic crisis help eg; burst pipe, emergency plumber location

Employees normally rate provision of an EAP very highly, in our experience, and companies providing them tend to retain the service year-on-year because of the positive feedback and caring, supportive image it gives them.
